My heighest recorded weight was 344 pounds at 5'6". I am sure I was fatter than that at some but cannot remember a weight. Thanks to my DS, I have lost and kept off 190-200 pounds for the last 3.5 years.

You've come a long way. You'll go the distance.

213 down with a few more to go. Before surgery, I always thought that this wouldn't work for me, or I couldn't possibly lose enough weight, or whatever. There are no guarantees in life, but this definitely worked for me!

I know I am a little late and you have gotten answers. Im wasnt quite as heavyweight as your asking about but my surgery weight was 330 and I am 5:5 and a half. I doubt this was my heaviest weight but I dont know cuz I avoided scales like the plague. That meant I had 180lbs to get to a normal BMI. I had lost 170 (but I have had a little regain only because I wasnt to carefull when I went on vacation and have just not really bothered to loose it back. My weight is however stable now. I was only 24, if left unchecked Im sure I woulda been more then a heavyweight.  I can also think of a few that have had great success with even higher BMIs then you. Thank God for the DS!!! You'll do and be Awesome!

I used to make excuses why I cant Now I make reasons why I CAN!!
155LBS GONE FOREVER!! LIVING LIFE... I LOVE MY DS

Hey Lisa,

My current BMI is at 60.3 (398). I am a band to DS revision. I hope to have surgery in December with Dr Gagner. What's more I was 298 in 2008 when I first got the lapband, so I know all about feeling like a freak.

I say liberate the freak and embrace the brave and courageous you in its place.

You are not alone.
