Going DOWN!!!!

My descent from the 18.2 pound gain has begun!

This morning I was 180 even!

Mind you, the gain happened after I hit below goal at 155.  I have never hit that magic number of 160.  My PCP gets upset if I weigh in at 158!

I nippeed the Kashi nibbling in the bud, and got some pork rinds, for when I need crunch. I didin't realize they had 9g of protein!

I'm still giggly over the fact that i'll get to eat cracklins after the ds :)
Congratulations on snapping right back on track

You're using the DS for what it is -- a tool (and a glorious one)!! Even at almost 9 years post-op, if I notice the scale going up (as it has been lately) I simply reassess what I've been eating, which is usually carbs, cut back and replace with protein, and -- wait for it -- I can still lose weight.

When you need crunch, try nuts -- they work too.

Yep...I love nuts!  I eat mixed nuts all the time!

Congratulations. I read here somewhere that the protein in pork rinds was not a high quality protein and cannot be counted in your daily total. It is a carb free snack however so enjoy!

Eat a rich protein with them (like a good chili-cheese dip) and they count.

I like them with hot sauce, so I eat a couple sticks of cheese with them, too.

I know that, but I was just surprised.  I still do shakes, though.

Hey sweetie - well done you!!

Its true that Pork rinds are not a complete protein...who the hell cares, its got crunch, its salty, carb free, its a great vehicle for any kind of dip and its great in front of the tv - what else can a low carbing girl ask for lol

Its amazing, I am nearly 4 yrs out and I know if my heads in the right place as far as low carbing, protein and shakes and some gentle exercise are concerned, my tool continues to rock! Love that you are experiencing that too!
Thats why we're surgically superior !! Yay for the DS

Maybe we should start a regain fighting thread each day??? I would be up for it as I really need to get my butt back to some low carb before the holiday season really sets in!

Hugs
