CT Scan and DS

 Hello Everyone:

A month ago I was in a car accident and I have been getting these daily headaches.  My PCP wants me to have a CT scan of my brain.  He said they will give me contrast but I am not sure if I have to drink it or they put it in my veins.  Has anyone had  a CT scan of your head before? Am I suppose to tell them that I cannot drink too much contrast.  Any advise will be helpful.

Thanks
Ruby

Oral contrast is just for imaging your GI tract, so you shouldn't need any.  Crisis averted!  They will give you IV contrast, though, so be prepared for that.
