Happy Birthday to me!
Well, SURGIversay, I should say! I am one year old! Life had a new start for me a year ago today and as promised by my DS friends, it has been quite a ride! Overall, I am extremely pleased with my results. I started with my highest weight of 280, was down to 270 pre-op and from that point, have lost 123 lbs. I am now 147! Seems strange to even write that!
I cant begin to thank ALL of you that have supported me and educated me this last year. I know us newbies, are like newborn babes, and can be a real PITA :) But thanks for answering the endless questions and offering support and encouragement. The DS community is great.
Thank you too, Dr Kemmeter (if you read this ) for using the gift that God has given you to change so many peoples lives, so we can actually enjoy them! I never knew how much obesity held me back and feel for those that are still held captive!
Looking forward to more great years and living with my DS!
