I'm divorcing my husband

Well, I am pretty certain that I would not suckle on a cows teat either, but I will say this. I LOVE raw milk and if I had a cow I'd be out there squeezing off a bucket full for butter and cream.

It can get worse. I'm now addicted to duck eggs too, which are large, with a disproportionately large yolks.

This can get expensive. Thank goodness I don't like caviar and lobster.

OMG, I've never had a duck egg.  Does it taste different from chicken eggs?  I love the "disproportionately large yolk."  Nom nom nom...

I've always wondered what an ostrich egg tasted like too. Can you imagine?  One a day and you'd be good to go for a couple of days!

They are a tiny bit richer than chicken egg, and have more protein - that's why I initially tried them. they are a little more expensive, but chicken eggs have gone up enough that there is less difference in price than there used to be. I find them at co-ops, and the farmers market.

Back when i was a kid living at home we had geese. Mom would use their eggs in baking but she never fried them. I remember  a lady stopped by the house and wanted to buy a couple of goose eggs, said that she was a waitress and had a guy come in every morning and complain about the small eggs that they served.

That picture is kinda hot and kinda gross at the same time which I think makes it even hotter.

Btw, for those who like yolk, I make my eggs sunny side up, 4 yolks and one whole egg for breakfast...yummmm

I love the yolk the best! But how much protein in just the yolk? Once I used a few extra yolks in scrambled eggs when I had used the whites for some recipe and actually it was grossly too rich tasting, even for me. lol

Most of the protein is found in the albumin (white part).  About one fifth of the protein is found in the yolk along with and all of the fat / cholesterol is found in the yolk. As a food, yolks are a major source of vitamins and minerals.

I like yolk, but not enough to make one egg with four yolks though...lol.
