Dr: RNY, Sleeve, Lap-Band then DS. WTH?

1. What surgeon said this?
2. How many DS surgeries has he done?
3.  If you want a DS you need to find a surgeon who believes in his ability to give you one and who has read the literature.  The DS is NOT NEW for *****sake.  THe surgery with the least data is the stand alone sleeve.

and find a real DS doc. This doc doesn't know enough about it, whoever it is. It is difficult and many are NOT capable.

I just got back from seeing Dr. Simper actually! He said RNY and DS are the biggest hiters in WLS. He does not down talk the RNY or DS. He says not so good things about the band and ok things about the VSG. I would go to Dr. Simper for a consult. :) Remember ... get information before you go and really know your facts. Feel comfortable with your information and ask questions. I honestly would never get the RNY but that is my own personal opinion.
