DS'ers able to donate blood?

 Slim I was hoping you would reply to this post.  Thank you for your insight.  The analogy of a bank loan makes complete sense.  

I called the Red Cross about this - if one has ever had iron infusions, one should not donate blood.   I've had multiple infusions, so that crosses me, unfortunately, off their list.

I've was a regular donor pre-surgery, so I figure I've done my duty already. I don't plan on donating again except in some sort of dire emergency.  If you feel guilty, just recruit someone new to donate and count it even.
