Piggybacking off of DS'ers are mean

I personally love the straight shooting, snarky, cuss riddled responses, as they are the ones most near to my own opinions. It takes all kinds to make the world go round. If you don't like something, use the block button. Telling adults how to act is ridiculous. This is an online message board, not a home study of which you are a case worker. Mind your own beeswax.

Why should any one, DS'er or not, have respect for any one that starts flinging crap then goes and hides and deletes all their comments?  You were brave enough to start it, you should have had the guts to back it up!  The incident you are referring to happened days ago and most of the posts were removed...and you decide NOW that the bickering has gone on long enough?  pfft!  Who's dragging sh*t out?

Yeah everyone has their own issues...a lot of us share some of the same ones too (at least in regards to weight).  Yeah some of the vets game me a hard time (especially when I was learning things pre-op) but it was not meant to be mean.  It was a reality check...and for that I am thankful.  It made me think and continue to do research I still needed to do.  I researched off and on for years and still do as needed.  I learned what supplements I needed, what types, how much, when I should get labs and tests done, what to ask my doctors, and how to fight my insurance company...and that is just what I can think of off hand.  Have I been blunt with others?  You're darn right I have!  I call it like I see it.  If I see someone stating something about the DS that is wrong I call them out on it.  It's not to be "mean".  It's so they don't "f" themselves up and/or teach others the wrong things that might hurt them too.

 My goodness!!

I had never personally found anyone to be over the top or "mean," simply  direct as the case needed, until I saw this flurry of defensiveness against Chocolate Toy.

I guess she stirred up a hornet's nest when she tried to censor the free expression around here!

Still, I never saw you guys get so nasty for the sake of being mean, before this. Admittedly, I am kind of new around here, and mostly lurk. But I have read every post since I started. I did really enjoyed the humor about the blocked 8.

I guess the reason why I am posting is to say that I saw a new side of you guys on this thread. While she was wrong, I do think Chocolate Toy meant well.

Remind me not to **** you guys off, if I can help it!

Probably because of a know-it-all social worker on another board *****cently drifted in to the board and now spends MOST of her time telling everyone else how to post and reporting every thread into which her disturbed mind can read some secret meaning and who has very little in the way of actual information to share...so since all SHE can say is "oh, you poor thing" and "aren't you special" and spout platitudes, that's what she wants EVERYONE to do.  Rather like, "I'm perfect or damn near...so YOU must do everything the way I would."

We don't need her clone here.  One is already too many.

LIke I said before I was reading 2 different boards and thought what I was referring to was on this board but was on another board. I couldn't delete my original postings so I deleted all my comments. And also bc someone said people have different styles about the way they "help" others. I didn't delete them because I was going to hide in my corner. I am not even talking about the incident you are referring to. It didn't happen on this board. It happened on another forum and I incorrectly thought it was this one. I am not going to apologize for stirring up a hornets nest as some say, I may have went about it the wrong away. I wasn't trying to take anyone's free speech away.

I really do hate drama but you do realize that you had to go to a totally different forum to post here instead of just clicking "new thread"  right?  Doesn't this whole post go against social worker 101?

LMFAO. I sure do know how to post a new topic. I was reading 2 different boards at 1 time. You know how that goes when you are multitasking, and I made a mistake. Ohhh shoot me now bc I inadvertently posted in this one.

And which board was that?

No matter WHERE you meant to post this, it's still an attempt to be a forum nanny. I can't imagine it would be welcomed on any board.

Learn from this. Take what you can use, ignore the rest---and remember, what YOU can't use may be exactly what someone else NEEDS.
