My pre-op diet consists of two light TV dinners such as Healthy Choice or Lean Cuisine(limit of 250 to 350 calories). I also get 2 cups of low calorie veggies and 3 Sugar free Carnation Instant Breakfasts a day. I planned everything knowing how I like my veggies and when I knew was a high grazing time for me.

Breakfast- fried green beans with garlic
snack- Carnation Instant Breakfast
lunch- Lean Cuisine Beef and Broccoli
Snack- Chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast
Dinner- Healthy Choice Portabella Marsala Pasta (So freakin' good!) and Broccoli
Snack- Chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast.

I also got my fluids in. I am to have 64 ounces of water or sugar free beverages. Trying so hard to decrease my Diet Dew usage.

Looks like a great pre-op plan. Try to get to a Vitamin Shoppe and get some Syntrax Nectar chocolate truffle protein shake. It's low carb and has 24 grams of protein a scoop. Check the label on that Instant Breakfast stuff.

Gina, I thought about adding a protein drink. I have a few different kinds here. I wondered about the Syntrax .Is it good stuff?

My favorites are the Nectar chocolate truffle and the strawberry mouse. They remind me of Nestles Quick and have the least protein taste. I mix mine with 1/2 & 1/2 but started with Lactaid milk early post-op. I'm not crazy about the fruity ones but some folks like to mix them in their crystal Lite and like them just fine.

Protein coffee:

Brew a pot of coffee as usual

In a 20oz blender bottle with wire ball blend 1 1/2 scoops of IDS MultiPro vanilla cinnamon protein powder and 6 oz of 1/2 & 1/2. Shake a few times to blend..doesn't take much.
Pour the protein slurry in to a huge mug and top off with coffee.

It's important to add the hot coffee to the protein slurry, not the other way around.
