Once a week I have half a PB&J (made with natural sugar-free PB & no sugar added+fiber jelly) on Ezekial Bread.

What variety of Ezekial Bread do you use?  I've seen many different ones in my local store.

I think it's just the regular sprouted grain in the orange wrapper. I keep it in the freezer otherwise it'll go bad before I even get halfway through the package.

I like that 45 cals and delightful sara lee bread that Julie mentioned.  The 100% whole wheat with honey variety is the best.  Then just pile on the peanut butter.  Also, if I get jelly I tend to get the light version instead of the sugar free, so I can avoid some of the sugar alcohols.  I don't think the carb counts are terribly different.

I don't really miss a ton of things.  Ok, maybe cheap, kid cereal.  But I could go eat it...I just don't/won't.  Whenever I buy cereal that is not a high protein kind...I eat the whole box in a day.  No control with that stuff.

Oh, and pancakes.  The breakfast foods are the toughies for me.  I guess I just never want to start my day with carby junk...so I don't treat myself to them very often.

Ooooh Kayla you eat cereal?!  Is there such as thing as a high protein kind of cereal?  I've looked and looked at cereal and the only thing I am willing to risk eating is original Fiber 1 with unsweetened almond milk.  Needless to say I won't even eat a full serving of it.  Any suggestions on cereal?  The more variety I will be able to have, the less likely I will be to choose the "wrong" things.

I miss pasta.  Read- a whole big plate of pasta.  Olive Garden is our favorite family place to go.  What I've found out is that it's all about the sauce and meat.  The noodles are just flavorless fillers.  So what I do now is substitute.  If it's a creamy Alfredo sauce, I like it tossed over spinach or summer squash.  If its a marinara sauce I mix it with either cottage cheese or over queso fresco.  Butter sauces, I've found taste amazing with portabello mushrooms or mashed cauliflower -thanks MADS and Swee****ers :).

The substitutes are pretty darn satisfying for me.

I need to lose about 2 more pounds for a normal BMI .  I still seem to be slowly losing at over 2 yrs out...so may get there yet.

Oh yeah...I miss the pasta too!  lol  You have given me a couple good ideas to try...thanks!  I did recently find this recipe for a low carb Gnocchi (I have it bookmarked).

http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/maindishes/r/lowcarbgnocchi.htm

It was a bit time consuming to make.  I divided my portions and froze the extras, so now when my family wants pasta I pull out a serving of the Gnocchi for me and give them the stuff they like.
