Well, the "easy" way to get insurance approval is to wait a bit and let your BMI hit 50. Depends on how you want to do it. I'd fight. I'd also lawyer up.

As for the DS, it sounds like you have a reputable surgeon picked out.  Do you have the option of travelling out of state at all?

You will get there in the end, but the best advice I got from a wls friend is "The squeaky wheel gets the oil" which means those who speak up and fight for what they want, win in the end. :)

My DS surgeon is out of state.  The DS is not done by anyone in my state. I'm squeeking alright!!  lol
