Hospital discharge after DS (Dr. Gagner) w/o caregiver

I flew to Mexico by myself for the DS. Dr. Ungson sent one of his nurses to the hotel daily to check on his post-ops. If Dr. G. doesn't do that, then I can see the need to have someone there to keep an eye on you, make sure you're not feverish and such.

Do you know anyone in the area who could step in and help you to the hotel and maybe check on you while you're there? That is really all you need, not 24 hour care.

Otherwise, you'll need no luggage beyone a carry on with wheels and the guy giving you wheelchair service at the airport (forget the train) can handle that.

Discuss it with Dr. G. and maybe you can work something out. You are right, your son does not belong there with you.
