i've heard the same thing. from vitalady, i think. 30 grams of protein in 1 hr is all the body can absorb.
even though i usually type "double protein coffee" on this thread, I am only using 1 1/2 scoops of champion pure whey stack powder. 1 1/2 scoops = 34 grams of protein. i do this amount in 16 - 20 oz of coffee.
i guess typing "double" is easier than typing "1/12 scoops protein powder coffee"

I try to keep my shakes around 30 grams but have them 4 times a day to make sure I'm getting at least 100 grams of good absorbable protein in. Vitalady saw a study pre-Internet that she trusts about the 30 gram business and I trust her.

1 slice swiss cheese
mini carrots
gf almond flour blueberry muffin w/butter
double protein decaf coffee
5 hershey's kisses
scrambled egg
2 slices scrapple
1slice gf bread w/butter
going to make another protein coffee and climb into bed
vites: all accounted for
fluids: 70oz by bedtime
