Walk, walk, walk.

It will help you heal faster and get rid of that gas for you.

Congratulations on joining us on the Dark Side!

I agree, walk.  I just had my DS 8/15. I had it coming from both ends everytime I walked.  Made me feel so much better!

Welcome!

I had very little gas, but it will be 2 weeks this upcoming Wednesday since I had mine and I can tell you it gets better every day.  In one week from now you will feel back to your old self again if you don't already.

DS Surgery in Detroit Medical Center on 8/17/11.

I was HUGE from gas after surgery.  I couldn't even lean forward for almost a week or so because my stomach area was so big.  I also had edema in my feet.  I don't miss those days BUT the worst is behind you and you will NEVER feel so bad/big/bloated/stuffed again.

Cheers,
Cathy

Walking has helped - I try to pace back and forth in my basement - since it has been raining cats and dogs here with Irena visiting us.

Today is better than yesterday!

When did you start introducing vitamins?

I used chewables for the first two weeks.  He's given you Prevacid quicktabs, yes?  Those you take religiously, and get a good centrum chewable.  I graduated to pill swallowing about the 2nd and 3rd week.  Didn't take everything all at once, started with the multi, added in the calcium/mag, added in the b12, and then the D, Iron, B75, probiotics on the third week.  The smell of the prevacid still gags me. LOL    Welcome to the Darkside!
Pick your surgery first, then your surgeon. Not the other way around.
PS:... Potato chips should be a food group.

I'm tired of screwing with that damn health widget.
I've lost 125 pounds to date!!!!
   And I'm UNDER 190 now!!!

Probably not gas but air. With the lap surgery, they blow you up like a balloon so that it's easier for the surgeons to access everything.

I'm sure in time it will dissipate.

Congrats and keep sipping!
