Omegas 3-6-9 ???

Since I'm in Canada, I've had to do some juggling and shopping to get the right kinds of vitamins.

VitaLady... still no Canada??

Anyhoo... My day job is real estate agent, but my passion is music.  I sing, play, done the band thing, now that I'm getting my mojo back, I want to get back at it etc etc.

One of the vites for us singer types is Omegas.  Omegas as you get older are important because it keeps the elasticity in your v-cords from what I've been reading, also good brain food.   I've done some googling but nothing stands out as useful for us as DS'ers.   Do they make a dry version (is there such a thing) or am I destined to have to take oodles of these regular ones in hopes of perhaps absorbing some/enough??

Allie
Pick your surgery first, then your surgeon. Not the other way around.
PS:... Potato chips should be a food group.

I'm tired of screwing with that damn health widget.

Here is the Omega that DS'ers take who take one of them. I am watching their results as it's pricey.

I take Barlean's Omega 3-6-9 orange swirl. I squeeze a little in my strawberry or chocolate protein shake. It's an emulsion like Coromega3 squeeze. Either one should be fine for DSrs.

How does the Barlean's taste ? Have you had the Coromega to compare tastes ?  Curious on the difference in flavor.

Barlean's lookes like lower cost.
Thanks.

Coromega is ok for traveling but I like the taste of Barlean's in my shake. It's less oily tasting than Coromega--smoother somehow. It needs to be refrigerated.

I bought a box of the pricey squeezes.  Yummy.  But I felt they were so oily that I didn't feel like I was necessarily going to really absorb it.

How to dry out omega fatty acids needs to be figured out so we can be more sure that we are absorbing it.  Like Ginger said, it is very expensive.

 HI Allie,

I too have been told I need to make sure I am getting enough Omega 3.

I looked at the special omegas that some Ds'ers use and I looked at the cost and decided to stick with the regular ones I get in the drugstores and take more.  I take 2 capsules eveytime I take my calcium.  It helps keep me regular and because I watch for sales I figure it doesn't cost me anymore then buying a special omega. Although some vitamin are much cheaper in the states, it would seem from these sites.
