One Year Update...with pics...long
Lynne, wow, look how freaking TINY you are! I wouldn't have recognized you as the same person, I bet you get that a lot when you haven't seen people recently. Congrats on getting past all those issues and doing so well. What are you able to do about the neuropathy issues? That sounds troubling.
Happy surgiversary!

Loving my DS!!
HI there,
Sorry for the late reply...been camping all weekend...lol
I do get a lot of people who absolutely do not know me. Some of the funny ones... Several officers that will not let me out of the jail, because they did not recognize me (before going back in uniform)... I think the funnies is one of our officers that my husband went to school with (so he knows me well) met me in a doorway, kept talking to me as if he knew who I was. In fact I thought he did. I then did something that was a habit whenever I saw him. He did an about face... stared down at my name plate... yelled "holy S**t then grabbed my hand and dragged me through the unit I was in showing, me to people, most of which had already seen me. Well enough of that...lol
The Neuropathy... My Neurologists seems to think it will return to normal within a year to year and a half from my bout with mal-nutrition... he says the nerves needed that time to re-grow...not sure I buy this at all. In fact my surgeon says its "Baloney"...lol My my labs are pretty good, B1 is great. So I am giving it a little time. If you have other thoughts I am open to them.
Thanks for the TINY comment, not sure I have ever been tiny...lol
Thanks again,
Lynne

Wow, Lynne, what an inspiration you are to me and the other newbies, pre-ops and lurkers here. I won't have surgery until Sept. 13, but seeing your remarkable transformation gives me hope that one year out I can celebrate some of those same Wow moments as well. You've done an incredible job of working your DS, despite your complications in the beginning. You certainly deserve accolades for all of your hard work! Congratulations!
Warmest wishes,
Lisa
