Did you make the brisket? If so, do you mind sharing how you make it? I've been traveling so much and eating out basically every meal for a MONTH now. I'm so over it, and am ready to start eating at home again. I'm looking for some meaty (tender only) and cheesy recipes to get me back in line.
I went on a meat and cheese shopping spree today, but I only picked up select meats that I know I like and generally can eat, but I do love brisket, just never tried making it.

This was the very first time I fixed a brisket and it turned out great and so so tender. Thanks to Chef Julie and a friend from the LW board.
3 pound brisket
rub down with sea salt or Morton's Lite salt
fresh ground black pepper
paprika
brown on all sides in olive oil
preheat oven to 250 degrees
place fat side up in a foil lined pan (I used a Pyrex baking dish)
tightly cover with foil
bake for 4 hours
at 4 hours lift the foil and spread about 4 tablespoons of BBQ sauce over the top
recover and continue to bake for another hour

Hi Gina and everyone,
That recipe sounds good, I haven't fixed a brisket in years.
Nothing much going on here...quiet.
B: bacon , double protein shake
S: deviled egg
L: 1/2 WW thin bun with turkey and cheese, few slices avacado and tomato
S: double protein shake
S: carbsmart fudge bar
D: 2 chicken wings (did beer can chicken), couple bites of mashed potatoes and cesear salad
S: plan protein coffee
Vites and fluids on track.
Exercites: none today...my day off. Took a real long nap and did laundry. That must count for something,

Sounds good. I think I need something sweet to finish the night.
