What did you loose your taste for post op?
I've lost my taste for A LOT!
Chicken
Soft cheeses (ricotta and cottage are among them
so sad)
Beef
Coffee
Any type of bread, this includes those Mission low carb wraps
Most broths (although I think it's trauma from having to live off of them LoL)
Eggs (although I'm trying to find ways to eat them because they are such awesome protein)
I know one day I'll probably be ok with eating those things, but for now I'm great without them. I do like things I never did before. Which is awesome.

I lost my taste for leftovers. Seriously. The thought of eating something again nauseates me. And I was raised in a home where we ate leftovers until they were gone - we did not ever waste food. Now I feel like I waste food all of the time, and it pisse me off, but I just can't bring myself to eat them. Blah.

I've lost my taste for many sweet things - milk chocolate, cake, some cookies, most donuts. I used to adore Indian food - now, not quite as much. I still crave it from time to time. Same with pizza. I don't like ice cream much anymore at all. It's sweetness is too cloying. Interestingly though, there are now things I love that I didn't like before my surgery, such as fresh hot peppers (still don't love 'em cooked) like jalapenos and serranos. Hot foods are much hotter to me now as well. I crave lime, cilantro, tangy, salty, type of combinations big-time.
I also get sick of foods easily. I'll go on a bender for something, and then can't eat it again for a year.

"Hot foods are much hotter to me now" That really rings true. I am a native Californian, where there are so many hot foods consumed from diverse ethnic recipes that it came as a shock. I had to season my food separately. (or now I make my family or friends add more heat to their tastes) I didn't lose my taste for hot foods. I just find them so much hotter than everyone else!
That's exactly how I am now Gail - I still love spicy, flavorful foods, but my tastes are far more sensitive now. My husband is a chef and often wants me to taste and analyze his cooking, because his sense of taste has dulled with age and mine has heightened with my DS!
