My surgeon (as most of you know) is never easy to find anymore so I'm going solo most of the time. It's getting time for me to get my labs refreshed. I did a search and found this list from 2008 in a post. Does it look complete? I'm going to my PCP Wednesday and just want a complete list to hand over to him when he puts in the order. Let me know if it's too much or too little. Thanks!

I love your profile. I have set a goal to go zip lining when I hit the 250 lb weight limit. Looks amazing!

Zip lining is a blast. The thought crossed my mind that I may chicken out, until 3 little girls went ahead of me. Chickening out option was removed from the table at that point. I work with steel cables and heavy industrial lifting things. I had the advantage of knowing what the limits of everything used to build a zip line is. It FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR exceeds any amount of weight you can possibly put on it with your body. That kinda took the fear out of it.   You will love it. They have a weight limit of 275 lbs at this particular one, but that has nothing to do with the equipment. It has to do with the skinny summer help teens that are trying to stop you at the bottom. It's cool. Go for it!

Hey neighbor,

I am looking for a pcp who will order all our labs.  I have an appointment with one I picked at random on Thursday this week but if you know a good one please let me know who it is.

I want someone who won't argue about signing off on my lab slip.

And maybe a pcp with TWO DSers might get interested in learning about it!!

I will PM you with my PCP's name. He was the one that actually got the ball rolling on my WLS. He sent me to get a lap band, but my search for knowledge led me to the DS. I educated him on the DS because, of course, he'd never heard of such a thing. He is very impressed with my results and my knowledge of my surgery. I walk in with my list of labs and he just orders everything. It doesn't bother him to do this. He just warns me that my insurance might not cover all of it. No skin off his bum.....
