Yes please, what Sue said. Dr. Husted was supposed to assist with her band removal/DS, too, and backed out. Unfortunately Steph didn't.

Please don't make the same mistake.

i've been calling everyone I know and some people I do not know.

Husted had emergency surgery himself prior to this scheduled appt. He requested to wait one more week when he was safer to do such a surgery.  The patient and Juarez decided to stick with the schedule.

When they were transferring her to the OR table she aspiratated a great deal.  This caused the code.

Her heart rate had been fairly high post op.  Apparently in DS this is normal, maybe up to the 120s.  After it hits 140s it is no longer normal.  Then you have to go in and find out why. Could be related to sleep apnea, could be related to bleeding out.  She was apparently in the 140s.

It's all very sad.  Very sad.  ALL those resposible need to be called in on their actions.  If nobody did anything wrong and this was just one of those horrible things, so be it, if someone did something wrong... hang them but their testicles.

That may be the true story...but it's not the way the poor now deceased Stephanie told it at the time.  SHE said that her scheduled surgery was moved from the 2nd to the 12th...so that's ten days right there.  (Unless you mean that he wanted them to move it again to a week after the 12th.)

Her blog is still up and it says:

I've been on the phone back and forth ALL day yesterday and ALL day today. As of right now my surgery has been re-scheduled to August 12th, so 9 days from today. I have to go into a consultation on the 9th because this will be with a different surgeon, not Husted. I was told that if I wanted my surgery anytime soon with Husted I would have to fly out to California. Eff that! if I'm flying out to California I'm seeing Keshishian. Eff Husted! I am so mad at him for telling me to my face that the rumors on OH aren't true and then cancelling my surgery the day before just like the "rumors" said he would. So now I am going to have Dr. Hilario Juarez do my surgery. He's fairly new, but not as new as Blackstone was going to be when I was willing to have her do my DS. I've looked him up and can't find anything bad about him from his other surgeries (band, rny, revisions, etc). He also used to be a trauma surgeon so he can handle high stress situations in surgery, that makes me feel good.

It's been requested by those close to the issue that these kinds of alleged details no longer be bandied about in public.

Otherwise, howdy. Please introduce yourself, I'd like to hear where you're from and what/how you're doing :-).

in conjunction with the patient's name, is a HIPAA violation and I hope the family, if they are NOT the souce, pursues the sources of this information and sues all of the people involved out their asses.

Living or dead, this is someone's proected medical information and the fact that it ended up in your hands and you decided to share it is sad and wrong.

So BubbleAss is now ******g Husted and spreading HIPAA protected information, probably gotten from him, on the Internet.

Those two would be a perfect couple....if they could be barred from having anything to do with medicine.

 1.  This is not the place for this kind of bullcrap.  This was a post started to inform friends about Stephanie's passing.  Not some place for you to start your diarrhea of the mouth with HIPPA violations in the mix.

2.  It has been asked repeatedly for the details and comments of Stephanie's passing to be NOT talked about as per request of the family.  How DARE you post this on a place meant for friends and loved ones to come mourn and remember someone we love deeply.

BubbleAss will soon be gone from here. Send this evidence of HIPAA violation to her family before she pulls it.
