I know you are nervous now, but soon it will be all over and your new life can begin. The recovery sucks and its a long one, but it gets better everyday and one day you will wake up and say, "Wow, I feel pretty good!"
At 1 1/2 years out, I can truly say, I wish I would have done this sooner and not wasted my life obsessing about food and my weight! For me the DS took all that crap away, and I feel pretty good everyday.
No its not perfect and there are side effects that I wish I didn't have to deal with, but you learn how to deal with it, and the side effects from food before were a lot worse! Instead of a little gas, it was killing me!
So, relax and have faith. You've made a good decision, you've chosen life. Tomorrow will truly be the first day of the rest of your life. Good luck and I wish you a speedy recovery! You can message me if you have any questions, and I'll do my best to answer them.
