I think of that often....before my DS, my vacations were all about gaining weight....now, I've been known to actually come back lighter than I left!

This makes me look even more forward to my vacation on February.  All I plan to do is eat!!  :)
Nothing feels better than being able to go into ANY store and fit their clothes!

I always either lose or stay the same on vacation. For me its because I'm more active (usually lots of walking involved), and not home near the refrigeration snacking (I work from home).

The only day we ran all over was when we took the train into NYC.  Walking from 32nd up to 42nd and back twice at a run, plus all the stairs going through the train stations worked my leg muscles.  The rest was more walking but not at a run.  Tom (Levittown_Loser) showed me the best eating spots.  One of my favs was the Krispy Kreme donut sliders with chocolate covered bacon at PYT.  Although the breakfast pretzel rolls at the Amish Market, stuffed w/bacon, cheese and egg, sausage & cheese, plus the ham & cheese might have been a close 2nd, plus their smoked cheddar cheese melted in your mouth, and the fudge was good too...

Yeah the stairs are not happiness, but much easier when a lot of the weight has come off. Especially during the summer where the platform is 20 degrees hotter than the surface tempurature, that's the perfect recipe for a nasty case of swamp ass!

The bottom line at Penn Station was so hot and muggy, we went up 2 floors just to get a little cooler for the 10min wait until they posted the track info for our train back to Trenton.  Yes, running around at a normal weight, no way could I have done that at 225.
