The little things...

I know that the main reason I want the DS is to (hopefully) put my diabetes into remission and to get rid of my HBP, but oh, the little things that will become easier....!

Putting on socks

Walking

Housework

Laying down and getting up

Things that may or may not happen when ones lays down (with spouse or partner)

Showering/bathing

Anyone want to add on?
When push comes to shove....shove hard!

Never regret anything, because at one time it was exactly what you wanted.

Some of the little things I've noticed are the same. Others are:

Walking down/up steps

Driving my car

Straightening/fixing my hair. My arms use to go numb and I'd sweat like crazy.

Gardening

Sitting comfortably

The little things make the biggest difference in everyday life. And you'll notice new things all the time. Right now I'm discovering bones, especially in my neck and collar bones. Oh, BTW, Sex is awesome! Better then ever.

Just enjoying life makes all the difference in the world.

Little things I can't wait for:

Painting my toenails

Wearing a seatbelt

Sitting in ANY chair and not worrying about it breaking

Gettting on the floor with my 2 year old with no problem

Going to the movies again

Taking a long relaxing bath and actually fitting in the damn tub

And as crazy as it sounds, I can not wait to be able to clean my house again! I keep it "clean" but its so hard to mop and sweep my entire hardwood floor house!

This list could go on and on and on!!

It will be amazing how quickly your life will change after your DS.

I was only 3 weeks post op when I was off my BP meds.

Last night I  sat in amazement when I realized I could cross my legs like a lady....lol

All the best

I love these kinds of posts!
Shopping in regular stores
Mobility
Not being sweaty all the time
Crossing my legs
just "fitting" in places- chairs, cars, planes
Social acceptance

Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says "oh crap! she's up!

Now what will blow your mind is when you stop thinking of the little things as it becomes second nature due to your weight loss....that's when it blows me away and I realize that yes, I was once smo and went through wls.
