8 Years Today!
So, in honor of my 8 year surgiversary, I had a couple of pix taken. Wearing an outfit that I was wearing the other day, just for comparison. I weigh 195, down ~10 lbs from my high last year after a medication-induced 35 lb gain. I am exercising somewha****er aerobics 2-3 times/week at the Y, taking long fast walks with my daughter once or twice a week, but that's it. I can eat just about anything, but stick to mostly protein before dinner, then tend to let the carbs fall where they may. I suppose I could be losing the rebound weight faster, but hey, I could be doing a lot of things I don't feel like doing.
I will turn 58 on the 17th, and I think I look pretty good for that age. I sure look and feel a whole helluva lot better than I did 8 years ago.
Not sucking anything in - same outfit as at the doctor's office on Wednesday. Even the same bra - which is not one of my more supportive ones, but I wanted to wear the one with the thinnest straps since they were going to show.
Do you think the pic below was photoshopped much before it was posted on FB?
As was noted by the helpful analysis provided by a professional photo editor after this post was made, this picture was altered to not only stretch out my belly and ass, erase some of my boobs, and even make my calves bigger than they are, it even messed up my hair! The noive!
Anyway, here is the first few months of my DS - morning of surgery through 9 months out. It's been a great ride!

Diana,
Congratulations on 8 years of DS success, measured not only by your obviously improved level of fitness and appearance, but even more-so by the gratitude and appreciation well-earned by your contributions on this site and ITRW towards others with the same goals.
And yeah, you look damn fine for turning 58 on 8/17 (from one turning 63 on 8/18 herself).

Wow, you look great! I was wondering about the face lift too, that had left you with some medication issues afterward. I'm sorry about the medication stuff, but your surgeon did a beautiful job - I think it took 15-20 years off of you!
I'm laughing at the cat too. I the first pic, she's watching you with the ears a little lowered like she's thinking "oh BFD".

Diana you are a class act! You are always here to help people out and give great advice. You go way out of your way to help people such as myself. You are beautiful! You look really good! If it wern't for one of your posts, I would have never even known about the DS. I just think its such a shame that people come on here begging for advice, but they want it spoon fed to them with lots and lots of sugar on it or else you are being a "*****" . What a shame that this "person" and I use that term lightly, has made it their life mission to TRY and make you look awful. Glad to see you are taking the high road and letting this person show her true colors! You go GF!
