He doesn't just SAY it, he's DOING it.

It sounds pretty handy too. You are already right in the strip mall, and can shop at the adult bookstore next door in case you need some porn for recovery, or the Office Depot to get some work done as soon as anesthesia wears off.

The ants on the OR floor could be looked at as a free protein source too if she weren't such a negative nelly.

She said she researched like crazy, but the only post I've ever seen about this clinica were horrible, so I'm really puzzled what she read that made that place sound like a good idea.

I really do hope she does OK, since the only thing scarier than getting a DS there, may be getting revision or exploratory surgery there.

She seems to think that asking questions of his coordinator constituted "research".

And you forgot to mention that walking up a flight of stairs immediately post-op is an excellent way to prevent pulmonary emboli and jump-start that post-op exercise program.

Sometimes when I see complaints about surgeries, I wonder if they had a competent surgeon preform theirs. I know problems happen, but some are just due to poor knowledge, technique, and lack of experience.

I'm glad I decided I wanted a DS before choosing my surgeon. I'm also very glad that I read and read on this board and found dsfacts.com to help me find a good surgeon.

I find it suspicious that she doesn't mention any gut issues in the first few days - I think the vast majority of us had the peeling paint smelling diarrhea at first.  And as much as she was up and walking up stairs (!) on the day of surgery, I can't imagine her intestines were also cut.

It seems suspicious to me too.

I don't care how desperate I am for a surgery.  If I walked into that place, I would turn right the hell around!!!  If I didn't have the sense to do it, I would hope that the person I brought with me would love me enough to step in and do it for me.  Even if they had to do it with me kicking and screaming.

Holly hell, what a nightmare.

The longer I'm on here, the less and less I feel for people who say they have 'researched' and there are threads on the mexico board every few months and the ds board always has info on using vetted surgeons.

I wish her the best and I hope to goodness she stays on the ds board and takes care of herself bc who knows what is really in her stomach, there is absolutely NO TELLING.
