Thanks lady!! And you are right that being able to do the 7 mile race is way better than being at a certain number on the scale - thanks for putting that into perspective for me!
And just so I'm being honest here - I can't actually RUN the whole 7 miles YET. I do a combo of walking/running. For that race I did 3 minutes walking, 2 minutes running if it was flat. If it was uphill I walked. If it was downhill I ran. This was a very hilly course! My goal is to be able to run the entire thing next year. I did take about 8-10 minutes off my time from last year though - so more running this year than last year!
