She said and I quote "VitaLady is not a trained medical professional even though she seems to think she is. She gives medical advice when she is not qualified to do so. There is no reason to follow her ridiculous plan when it's completely unnecessary."

Has anyone told her that scores of DSers have followed her plan with great success,  many of them with vastly improved labs after they started her plan?

Personally I don't care who uses what, as long as it works for them and their labs are looking sweet, it's all good!

In my book It's about staying healthy, not about who wants to be right.

Sue needs to not diss what she neither knows nor understands.

I agree that what matters is that people stay in good shape. I don't take the entire Vitalady program. It's Sue's snarkiness about a woman who has lived a life of incredible devotion to people's health and her dismissal of Michelle and Don as nothing more than purveyors of a vitamin warehouse that rankles.

She really should have a much more open mind toward RESULTS. However, I consider her willingness to deviate from the brainwashed mindset of the typical NUT to accomodate some knowledge about the DS an encouraging sign and look forward to hearing of her mind opening further.

Yes, I am being very pissy about a NUT. You can guarantee that I will *always* be pissy about NUTs. They have to prove they are worthy of more than my ******ess.

Sue is the nurse practitioner and Dr. Stewarts surgical assistant, not a NUT. The NUT is new so I only met with her once for 5 minutes, so I have no opinion of her whatsoever.

Oopsie, sorry, my bad :-/.

That makes her commentary make a little more sense. She's approaching this with the bias that comes from thinking in the medical model, which is geared toward fixing/treating rather than prevention. While many docs/PA's/NP's make good efforts  to focus on prevention in health care, their training and the philosophy behind their studies is based on treating (and hopefully curing) disease. That's a tough "brainwashing" to overcome, too.

Gee, I guess she's going to have to learn from experience then that Vitalady will know more than she does about this field for the rest of her (Sue's) career. Oh well, we already know that NUTs are brainwashed. It sounds like this one is at least modestly teachable. When she discovers how much better Vitalady is at this than she could ever hope to be (understandable since she has a 17-year head start on the subject), perhaps she'll see the light.

Did you let her know that Vitalady is first in line to make clear that she is ABSOLUTELY NOT a trained medical professional?

We'll just see how bad the deficiencies have to get before she gets into the idea of preventing rather than treating them. *shrug*

I think Sue is an NP  (I think? my memory isn't the best), I realize the feeback is mixed on the vitalady issue, but when I was there I didn't get the impression that she was anti vitalady.
