You should be able to ask the answering service to page him for you, and have him call you back.

CALL YOUR SURGEON AND GO TO THE ER. YOU ARE POSSIBLY IN BAD TROUBLE. GET OFF THE INTERNET AND GO TO THE ER RIGHT NOW.

I REPEAT: IT IS ER TIME. DO NOT DELAY. GO RIGHT NOW.

Why don't you pick up the phone and call Dr. A's office?  Better to touch base before the weekend, wouldn't you think?   That way if it's something, they can help.... if it's nothing, then you'll feel better knowing that.

Then go to the ER...better safe than sorry.  Hang in there but do go and let the ER docs know what is happening.  Be sure to take a picture of your insides...there is a graphic on this site and on DSfacts.com.

Take care,
Betty

It sounds like the feeding tube may be plugged, or otherwise obstructed in some way. You are not supposed to drain so much, and definitely you shouldn't feel so crappy.
Call Dr. A if you haven't already, and if you can't reach anyone, go to the ER. This is NOT normal.

I hope a this point you're already at the ER. Better safe than sorry.  When in doubt, get assistance.

Do you mean 50ccs of drainage?  That would be fine (and is VERY different from 50 oz).

I'm glad you got in touch with the doc.  I'd probably insist on being seen on Monday if I were you.

Good luck!
