Vitamin k labtest?
I noticed a bruise on the underrside of my forearm a few days ago and now I have 2 more again on my forearms from edges of some wall paintings I was carrying. Seems excessive so I went to check my vitamin k level done mid may but found out it cannot be tested. My pt, ptt was normal in may. I have been taking vitalady's shedule of vitamin k1 since surgery and started vitamin k2 about 3 weeks ago. Any suggestions?

Vitamin K1 is testable (at least at my lab) but K2 is "testable" indirectly through osteocalcin. If you're taking 1000mcg of K1, perhaps you could ask the doc if there's a script you should get or if you can take more, and how much more.

my last labs were mid may (my first labs postop). But I didn't realize I didn't get the vit k result until I checked after noticing the easy bruising. I have an appointment with my family doctor on thursday and will have her check on doing a vit k level. I am taking 1000mcg vit k1. I got the osteocalcin result first one so no trend to look at yet. My hematocrit was low but my iron was trending up.

Unless you are taking something that contraindicates K1 you can take 1,000mcgs as per VitaLady's recommendation above.
I also take K2.
