The Extreme Weight Loss show made me think that they should do a reality show based on someone getting ready for DS surgery and tracking their thoughts and progress throughout.  It would be interesting to see the ups and downs and hopefully it would get people to understand that this isn't just the 'easy way out'.   Dr. Garth Davis had that show for people consulting for surgery, but it would be interesting to understand the emotions that people go through after surgery as well.   Just a thought..........

While not a "reality show" series type format, there HAVE been shows on Discovery Health (more documentary type style) with DSers.... at least two shows that come to mind..

One I believe was called "Kathy's story" about a 600+ lb woman who had DS with Dr Elirainy (sp?) in VA.  The other was about "Big John", a 16 or 17 yr old guy who had DS with Dr Husted.

Both shows were about 1 hr long, and were both revisited about 1-2 years after the fact to follow up.

I agree, I think there should be something that shows the entire story of obesity and those who struggle with it. I get so sick of hearing and seeing shows that talk about people losing weight the "natural way" or not "taking the easy way out." The whole story needs to be told. Maybe Obesity Help could sponsor something.
