Small Update - Got Biopsy Scheduled

. . . and that's about the bulk of my message!  Whew!

There was no need for me to have been worried about it being ordered.  She suggested it before I did and agreed with me that, while a lot of the symptoms & bloodwork fit, if nothing else, it's best to rule it out.

Scheduled for this Tues, not sure when I will get the results back at this point.  My next appt with my hematologist isn't for 2 wks, but if it comes back positive (you know, say by the end of next wk), I would like them to call me & order whatever other imaging studies they want rather than hold off yet another week (which I will keep that appt - f/u of chest xray & CT of abd/pelvis)

Thanks, Lori!!  Worst case scenario (positive) still means that it's one of the best/ most treatable types of cancer to have.  I'll be alright!

Great news (well...you know what I mean).

Good luck, hope the results come soon and provide some answers.

I'm so happy that appointment went so well for you.  I'm crossing everything I can for a good outcome.

My biggest question is:

Had you have not had your DS would you be so medically knowledgeable?  Like would you have thought to look for this?  I truly believe everything happens for a reason even if we don't intend to be the way it does.   Hopefully your heightened sense of medical knowledge of your own body helped to catch this sucker early when it's treatment is optimal.  I know before thinking about the DS I don't know that I would be in tuned enough with my body to catch the symptoms of a cold.  Since my research and learning about vitamins and lab results and where everything is located I feel much more confident in knowing more about myself from a medical standpoint.  I of course have this forum to thank ;)
