Code for DS?
Does anyone know the Procedure code for the DS surgery? I received 2 letters from my ins approving 2 surgeries, one I am having tomorrow on my knee the other is for the DS. I am keeping a file of all DS related papers etc and want to make sure that I put the correct letter in the file. Of course the letters just state the Procedure and Diagnosis numbers and not the name of the procedure.......

Your diagnosis more than likely is 278.01, Morbid Obesity for both physician and hospital bills or EOB statements. Orthopedic diagnosis codes begin with 7 such as 715.96, Osteoarthritis of the knee/lower leg.
