Here's how "backwoods" it is in Montana....
I arrived safe and sound but several hours later than originally planned. Computer FUBARed my travel info and the airline had to redo it for other, later flights. All went smoothly, and I cheerfully sat in a center seat with room to spare :-D.
Those of you who live near Missouri River-connected flooding, there's a lot more water coming, cuz there's a TON of snow left up in the mountains. (Missouri headwaters are near here.) It's finally warmed up to summer temps and the melt is ON. Lots of flooding going on here, but it's somewhat better than it was.
Okay, to the actual post: I had my appointment with the doc here today. Saw a nurse practitioner, actually, as it's a group practice. She LISTENED and asked LOTS of questions about the DS and responded in a manner that indicated she understood what I was telling her YAY!
I was concerned that I might have to talk her into the iron infusion and D injection, since I'm not "that bad off." Nope, she hopped right on the bandwagon, agreeing that preventing worse trouble is the intelligent thing to do.
She'll arrange everything and then let me know when to show up. They'll do two iron infusions. D injection is something they need to consult the staff nephrologist about, since he's the only one who has any experience with it. So that's going to take a little longer to work out, along with ordering the stuff and what all.
YIPPIE for a good doc experience!!! And all of that out here in the middle of nowhere :-D.
I was jus****ching the tail end of news in regard to the flooding in ND, and I wondered aloud to DH what we might see on the train trip out there.
I really wished that our schedules meshed enough to meet up out there, but I'll be traveling that way again!
