wound vac & questions

Let's see,  first THANK YOU for all the info and insight!  I like to know what I am walking into!  I'm on medicare/medicaid and homehealth should be covered (Dr. A knows for sure what is or isn't covered thank goodness) but I will double check for how long.  

The reason for the vac is because the drains didn't do the right type of healing and the wound vac he said should do it.  He didn't say exactly how large the hole that he is leaving will be....hopefully not 6" like a previous posted stated, but I will survive. 

I hope that they use the remover stuff for the tape (I know what you all are talking about and can't come up with the name of it right now).
