Hi Guys,

I just wanted to mention the shape up sneakers...I wanted a pair but some people had told me they were unconfortable/useless/made no difference so I was reluctant to shell out on a $90 pair ya know...

anyway a couple of months back my Mom bought me a pair in target on sale for $20 (Sketchers shape up knock offs I guess).
So I have been walking every day in them and last night my partner Jamie said that you can definitley tell they are toning my tush as he says it all looks a bit higher up!!lol I enjoy wearing them, they are v confortable and you really feel the muscles being used.

Thought I would post in case anyone else was on the fence about buying them...They have now brought out sandals and Ugg type boots in the "shape ups" collection....off to get me a pair of those for the British winter!!lol

Off for my walk now, see ya guys, have a great weekend,

Had a band in 2005 at 280lbs, had band removed and DS done on Jan 22nd 08 at 220lbs in Spain, now 135lbs and a size 4!! Happy as a Clam!!Dontcha love the DS? It's the best tool around!!

I second your feelings about shape ups, Yorkie!

These are the only shoes I can get through walking in a whole day in. I walk 8 hours a day at my job... which is at a shoe store. LOL  Before I bought them, I would have to change my shoes 2-3 times a day.

I have been wearing them for almost a year and have not noticed any weight loss, but I do feel toned and fit for the most part.  Just the fact that they are comfy for the whole day, sells me on them alone.   I have friends that have back and knee problems that swear by them too for comfort.

I have sandals, flip flops, a pair of clogs and 2 pairs of tennis shoes. Ill get the boots next winter. LOL

They work for me :)

I bought some of their "ugg-type" clogs this winter, and I love, love, LOVE them.    I had a hard time wearing anything else this winter.   They looked really cute with skinny jeans.

I have a pair of Asics tone-ups that I bought last summer, but I spent last summer walking the beach barefoot, and didn't use them much.

Absolutely love em!!
In fact I bought a pair today for my girlfriends birthday. she walks 40 mins to work each day in London and is always complaining that her butt and legs need toning but she hates exercise...so I got her a pair for her birthday and she is delighted with them!!lol

I am definitely getting the boots for the winter and may buy a pair of the flip flops too as I really think they do wor****rtainly feel my muscles working harder on my daily walks when wearing them as opposed to regular sneakers.

Hey Yorkie! I have a pair of the New Balance toning sneakers and I love them! I bought them for comfort and looks, but hopefully they will tone me as well, lol. Also, I wanted to let you know that I'm out of the hospital! I'm in the hotel and feeling pretty good.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Fitflop brand shoes. I wear their flops all summer and their mules in the winter. I can really tell a difference while wearing them. Also, my back seems to hurt less the more that I wear them so my posture must also be better

I swear, Niki, some times you read my mind!  DH and I were just wondering about the merits of these.  It's good to hear you like them so well.  I saw some at Wal-Mart that were the sandal type and I was thinking of trying them.  Did it take you long to get use to them?
