Are you better at setting boundaries now?

I have definitely noticed a difference in my attitude/personality since having the DS.  I also used to let people run all over me and it took me ages to speak up if I was angry about something. Now, I just let it fly, lol.  I think one of the best things about this is that before when I was single, I'd let guys treat me however they wanted. Now? Ha, you're lucky if you even get a 2nd phone call if you **** me off, lol!! 

I can't believe the awful way I'd let men treat me.  It's embarrassing.   Did you notice that the less you are willing to put up with their crap, the more attentive they are?    Even at 47, newly entering the dating field as a self-confident women who finally called the shots, I had to beat men away with a stick.  The less "available" I was, the more they wanted to be with me.    Kinda sad, huh? 

I've always had my boundaries set, but it was with the invisible fence. So a few snuck through that should have never. Ditched them once I found out what back stabbers they were.

But I've always been a ***** when it needs to be. Always had a select group of friends, and don't look to make many. I'm far from a people pleaser. I was more feared, no one ever made fun of me within ear shot. Hell I knew I was fat, tell me something I didn't know. But I was in better shape than nearly all of them. Once word got around of how strong I was, things were never said. Cause oh **** she aint just fat. I have always been intimidating and that hasn't changed. If anything its worse now cause its...Good looking gal that knows her **** about stuff that usually men only do...so I have to put the smack down even sooner. I get some real sexists that I have to deal with.  People I dont even know are intimidated by me (aka co-workers at corp HQ), but its more cause of my knowlege. I died laughing on day when I was told this.

I account alot of this on the fact I never let 1000lb animals push me around why would I let some 150lb person. But I notice as each year passes that my fuse is getting shorter though with people. I think its cause its a case of "you should know better".  Hell I stepped out infront of a car that hit my moms van who was gonna try to take off. Scared the **** out of that person. I was like where the **** do you think your going. And said it loud so that the rest of the parking lot heard. Try to run now with multiple witnesses *****

I've never put up with much crap and put up with litterally none now.
