DS Friends - Could you pls connect with RNY poster?

I am having surgery in Topeka Kansas and there are several Omaha Neb patients.  Many people travel long distances to get the surgery that will work best for them, so if you still want the surgery, look around.  Call around and see.  I know this is the right surgery for me and I would travel to the moon to get it- I hope you can get what you need, best of luck to you.

Are you Medicare, Medicaid or both?

 Dr. Stewart takes Medicare, but not Medicaid.  I have been on disability since 2002 and only have traditional Medicaid.  I called every surgeon that does DS in TX--none take traditional Medicaid.  I don't have the resources to travel out of state.  

Sorry for your troubles. Understand the frustration.

Oops, sorry, I should have read ahead. Take a little time to work on this some more. There just might be a way to make travel out of state possible that you haven't thought of yet. Keep doing research and let's all put our heads together. You have many brains to pick here. Don't just give up and give in, not yet.
