My first set of Labs - feedback welcomed

Hello all.....I've been lurking but not really posting since I'm still pissed about my OH email notifications not working .

Anywho....I'm 12 weeks out from my revision and while it's been slow going, I'm down 42 lbs and feeling great!!!!  The scale stalled for about 4-5 weeks before it started moving, but I'm finally on the way down again.  And I've been trying not to weight EVERY day, since I am a scale ***** and I just can't get enough of it.

Last week my PCP drew labs.  Although I showed him the Vitalady suggested labs, he didn't order all of them.  I'm going to type what he did order and would like to know what you all think.  Although I received a phone call from his office today that my labs were "normal" I like hearing from my fellow DSers!

I'm getting in 64 oz of fluids  and 100 g of protein a day.
Is it normal for B12 to be so high?  Should I start taking it every other day?  I noticed I get tingling in my feet usually in the early morning after my B12 batch.  Could it be related?

It sounds like you're doing well. For the vets to comment on your labs you might also post your vitamin regimen. Congratulations on your revision.

No wisdom here (I let normal be normal!)...but my B-12 was high back in the day, too, soon after surgery.  I stopped taking the supplement.  I do take a b-complex but it doesn't have 12 in it.  My B-12 is normal now.

B12 is ok to be high but if you want to cut back just do the dots 5 days a week instead of 7. The tingle in your feet could be from the B-complex. I get a hot flush and red rash when I take it, and only take it once a week now.

You might want to increase your 50K dry D3 to twice a day for 3 months and retest.

Your liver enzymes are very nice-- below 40 is a great thing.

Looks like you might want to eat more eggs or add a shake or 2. You want your albumin in the 4's and protein closer to 7.

Keep up the great work though.

Thanks Gina....I see my pcp again in 3 months and I'll request that he repeat the labs.  I'll take my B12 Mon-Fri and skip the weekend and I'll add a 2nd D3 pill.  It's funny because my pcp looked alarmed when he learned how much D3 I was taking after surgery.  Wait until he learns I've doubled it!  HHAHAHAHA

Which test is for the liver enzymes?

Also, I'll start having an egg for breakfast and I'll add a 2nd protein shake.

Thanks for all your advice!!!  You rock!

No PTH run?  Parathyroid hormone?  That's how you know whether your blood calcium level is from what you're taking or if you're body is robbing your bones.  BTW, I agree with Gina/ Major Mom on the albumin, protein, & D . . . I don't get a reaction from B vites.  I know that a lot of people shoot for over 1000 for B12 & some for 1200+.  1800 does "sound" high to me also based on ranges people shoot for, but I also don't know of any ill effects from that level.
