Hi all:

We can now welcome a new DS'er into the fold. Our own west Michigan Katie D called me in person last night to tell me that she was switched! Her surgery was at 12:30, and I kept waiting and waiting to hear something, and sure enough, my phone rang at 9:30 and one slightly loopy young lady told me she was switched, doing fine, and that her pain was being well managed.

I'll call her later today to see how she fared with her leak test, etc. Welcome to the Dark Side, Katie!

welcome Katie! I was almost hoping it was my sister also named Katie D so I opened this quickly but no such luck - I doubt she ever will consider the DS but I wish she would . . . She needs it worse than I do and loves food so much and if she had any idea how much she could still eat after a DS I know she might risk it. . . .again welcome Katie D. You are in the right place for a baby DS'er!
