 Thanks to:

Joanne B

She participated in this study done by Dr. Roslin and forwarded it to me.  Results were published in January.  It is sensibly written and explains very precisely why preservation of the pyloric valve is crucial to long-term weight loss:

I learn so much from everybody here.  Read it and marvel at your DS awesomeness!

Now that was some cool research.  Thanks for sharing.

ya Dr Roslin is big in clinical research, and he does love his DS and Sleeve, not surprising at all....

Awesome.  That is exactly the reason *some* of us are crazy about our pyloric valve!! lol

I can understand this from first hand experience. I wrote about this experience in my writing for Dr. Keshishians newsletter. I'm not sure when he's going to publi****

Thanks for posting this, Steve. I am going to add it to my collection on "why chose the DS because of RH in the RNY" info.

Thank you, Steve and Joanne,
This is a good article and reflects my personal experience. Now I understand some of the reasons behind the problems I was having.

 Thanks for posting this, Steve!
I'm home recovering from plastics so I haven't been online much.

This is a great study, it really shows why there is weight regain with RNY, and that it's based on the mechanics of the surgery - not some failure of the person.
