My Business Card.........
I was required to visit my Dr. for 6 months before being approved for Ins. My last visit is coming up next week. I have lost 22 pounds, one month I would loose, the next month I would gain a pound or two back. Like always it has been tough losing anything.
I assume that I will get approved for the surgery and be on my way by this fall. The one thing that has been on my mind is that I have only told a couple of close friends, the ones that I know will support me. I told all of my family members and they are all OK with it. I do have a few friends that I know will have smart ass comments and I read here all the time about hurtful thing that are said to people as they are loosing their weight. Most say "I wish that I had said that" after the fact but at the time did not think of it..........so here is my solution!
I am going to get some business cards made up for occasions when I feel it is no ones business or they make a rude comment. Here are some thought about text, I have more time to think about it and invite your comments, remember it needs to fit on a business card:
Talk to me again when you come to your senses.
I personally don't give a Rat's Ass WHAT YOU THINK!
My life, My Body **** Off!
When I need your opinion I will dial 1-800-Ass-Hole
I am sure I will come up with more and you guys are invited to post up your ideas........I am the kind of guy who would really do this! I also think that I will find a local MENTAL HEALTH phone number and put it on the card, not tell what it is just put it on the card, after all some of these jerks need the help!

I haven't got a surgery date yet, have you? Keep me up to date on your progress. I have had a hard time jumping through the insurance hoops and have had to do most of the work myself. Dr Inman's office doesn't seem to be too proactive on helping us get through to the insurance, so much left in our laps. I didn't have to do hardly any work when I was going for the RNY. I had a different surgeon their in Indy, and they did all the work, I just sat back and followed their instructions, and in no time, I had a date..........then cancelled my surgery at the last minute. Didn't know about the DS then, just didn't feel right about the RNY. So glad my gut and heart guided me in the right direction.

We do go out with the group sometimes, if i remember correctly my wife was not feeling well so we went straight home after the meeting. Hope to see you at other support group meetings!
