A Woohoo Moment

Hello all.  I haven't been very good lately about getting on here and when I did in the past, I normally used my time reading everyone else's posts to gain informaiton and not sharing all that much about myself, so most of you may not even remember me, but I needed to share my moment with you!

When i had my surgery, I was wearing a size 20 pants and they should have been 22's.  My 20's were so tight and I just wouldn't let myself buy any larger pants, especially since I knew I was working toward my goal of having weight loss surgery!  Well, I have been steadily going down and have now lost around 80 lbs, but still need to lose about another 30-40.  I seem to be in a slump right now, and things are moving very slowly, (any advice on this, would be greatly appreciated).  Anyway, I still haven't let myself shop and buy very many new clothes yet, since I'm not really where I want to be yet, so I have worn some things that are too big and have people telling me all the time, that my pants are too big...hahahaha, I do love this.  Anyway, being on the tight budget I am also, I just don't want to waste the money.  There is a lady I work with that told me she had a bag full of capris and things that she had outgrown and she wanted to know if I would like to have them...they were size 8's.  One of the last pair of jeans I had bought were 10's and they fit really good, so I told her to bring them and if they didn't fit, they would be good incentive for me to be "extra good" and work harder.  To try and make a long story shorter, she brought them day before yesterday and I tried them on thinking I would see how much more I liked before I could wear them, and they FIT!!!  I got them on and zipped them up!  My son and his girlfriend said they looked great, although I still feel they are a bit too tight to wear out (at my age), but not sure, they may just feel this way since I've been wearing all my clothes too big for so long!

Anyway, I just had to share my big moment... can not believe I can get myself into a pair of size 8's!!!  Thanks for listening and please share ideas on how to change a slump and also what are the vitamins for hair loss and how much do you take?  I need help, but always put off asking.

Thanks all.

Increase your protein shakes.  That always helped me get my weight loss going again.

Post daily what you eat on the Bites and Vites thread.  More carbs may be sneaking in than you are aware of.  Accountability is very important.

Get yourself on VitaLady's vitamin plan.  After the 4 month hair loss from the anesthesia I have had no problems with my hair.  I attribute that to the VitaLady vitamin plan and the protein shakes.

When you get your next labs post them here so the lab experts can advise you on what you need to do.

If you will do those four things you will not only get your weight loss going again, but you will become healthier!  (And your hair will look great!)

I'm glad you had such a great moment!

And as a Sims fan (the game) that thread title made me giggle. WhooHoo moments indeed...

Thank you Larissa!  Hopefully this won't be the last big moment, but one of the first!

WooHOOOOO indeed!

I keep telling people not to call me skinny and that "you can call me skinny when I wear a single digit size!"

Nice going skinny!

WOW!  I had never thought of it like that.... and don't know if I can EVER think of myself as skinny, well not yet anyway!  I'm too short, hahahahaha.. I'm only 5'1" so it will still be awhile before I would look skinny, but this is a BIG improvement.  Thanks so much!

Thanks Amanda, but viewing everyone else's weight losses, makes me know I haven't been tough enough on myself!  You have done great!!  I have got to get to work......but, really, thank you so much.  It was a very happy moment.
