Grocery bills going up?

Our grocery and food bill went through the roof because I was having so much trouble post-op.  If something didn't agree with me, we'd have to go out and get me something else.  It was impossible to know what would work to stay down for me and what wouldn't.  What was good one day wasn't good the next.  It was horrible!  The bill is a bit more stable now.  I only go to restaurants for one type of food usually, and my vomiting/nausea are gone so I can eat normally.

I'd say you may see a significant change either soon after surgery, or maybe 6-10 months out when your sleeve is healing and your able to eat more.  After that, the bill should level off.

Also, pre-op, you could decide not to eat (or to eat junk off the $1 menu at the drive through) if the bills were too high.  There's no such choice after surgery, so that's something to keep in mind for the budget.
