Point well taken, however, in that regard, it might be wise to look at the actions of his staff too.

Yes I do need to see my GYN however she will not see me without the surgery report to see what was taken out and removed, burned off, drained etc.

I have also signed a waiver for her to get those reports and she doesnt have them yet either. Once she gets them she will see me and we will get a game plan hopefully so the endo doesnt come back.

However right now I am more concerned about my pain that no one can figure out what is which is the upper abdominal pain above my belly button. It feels like contractions and comes in waves. I am praying the EGD will show something and get this matter fixed once and for all and then I can concentrate on issues such as the endo etc.

Your gyn has actually refused to see you?  Go see somebody else then.  If it's endo, then your best best is probably a reproductive endocrinologist.     And you also have PCOS?  Go see a reproductive endocrinologist.

She didnt have any appointments for quite some time so I let the receptionist know what was going on and they sent her a message in which she responded that it wouldnt make sense to see me before getiting the surgery paperwork to see what was actually done.

I have seen a reproductive endo before when I was trying to get pregnant pre op with #2. I will be asking my PCP for a ref to either an endo or repro. endo for the issues as well. Thanks =)

I suggested this as well.  Regular gyno can't do much with some of those problems anyway- I was referred to specialists when diagnosed with PCOS alone.

I have NEVER had an issue obtaining copies of my office visits, labs, operative reports, ect from Dr. E's office.  Dr. E is NOT the one that handles these things, it is his staff, and Curtis is always right on top of it when I ask for stuff.

ETA- Oh, also, I FOLLOW UP in the office with Dr.E on the schedule he recommends, which means, I am there at LEAST every 3 months (usually it's more often than that though), so if I am ever wanting another copy of anything, OR an original hard copy of something that was emailed or faxed to me I MAKE SURE I GET IT WHILE I AM THERE AND DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT IT.  Simple, simple ******g fix.  If she is 5 months out from surgery, she SHOULD have had at LEAST 4 follow up visits to his office.  And with all her "complications", he want's to see his patients after EVERY ER trip so HE can see what was done and make sure nothing was missed, so that right there would be about 10 OTHER visits (or more, she has talked about going to urgent care and the ER more than that for sure) she SHOULD have had with him or Dr. Franco.  SO, IF she is following up like she should, there is NO reason she hasn't had plenty of opportunity to get her records, in her hot little hand, in PERSON.

As for the OP claims, I do not agree.  I believe what Julie said is correct.  Dr. E has done more than his job in this regard.  He admitted the OP when they were unable to track down anything on the MANY tests she had run, multiple times, JUST so he could figure it out and try to get her feeling better.  He then scheduled exploratory surgery (and squeezed her in I might add) so he could get a definitive diagnosis.  He diagnosed her with several issues after that surgery, NONE of which fall within his scope of practice, and she was referred to other professionals for follow up.  Whether or not she HAS followed up with those other Dr.s has NOT been revealed.  NOT EVERYTHING IS A RESULT OR COMPLICATION OF THE DS.  And this certainly seems to be a case of that.  If she wants her operative report, she can call Curtis (who is very nice, speaks fluent English, has no accent and WILL accommodate her cir****tances) and ask for them to be emailed, faxed, mailed, ect and I am sure he will take care of it right away...  I also think there is some panic and anxiety on the OP's part that is playing a HUGE role in this.

I'm sorry, but this issue has me pretty upset, and I've been trying to bite my tongue about it, but the way she is slamming a very good surgeon for something unrelated is getting old.

The part that I am having trouble understanding is that she stated that she's been having this pain for years?!?! Once it was determined it was not DS related I would think that you'd be seeing specialists. It just appears this was going on long before her DS.

No you dont have a winner because you misread what I said. I have had PELVIC pain for years now not pain that is in my upper abdomen above my belly button.

Again that pain was pelvic pain which was lower near my ovaries as I have PCOS. The pain I have been having is upper abdominal pain (right above my belly button) which started a little over a month ago. Before this I had never had this kind of pain.
