Yorkiegal update
Hey you guys, just grabbing a quick moment in the cafe at the hospital. Mum is doing much better now, they managed to clear the clot and the Ct scan she had early this morning shows no "black spots" or anything to cause further worry. If she can see the neuro doc by the end of the day they are going to discharge her.
It took me nearly 24 hrs to get to the UK as I had to go via a connecting flight in Holland - not fun at all. anyway, I got here in one piece and its nice for my mu to have me here ya know?? She started to cry when i walked in as my brother didnt tell her i was coming in case i couldnt get there. I made her some lunch at home yesterday and we brought it up to the hospital where we all ate together, nurse said it made her hungry so i shared some with her too!lol
I will probably be back in the US in early may as I have to go and do a consulting job in St Kitts, we are decorating some vacation homes there that are being built. Mum was supposed to be coming with me but we are going to have to see if the neuro doc says she can fly that soon.
oh well , speak soon and Mum says thanks for all your kind thoughts and prayers , she thinks you are a great bunch of people!! oh and so do i of course, love to you all and good luck to all those going for their surgery this week! xx

Had a band in 2005 at 280lbs, had band removed and DS done on Jan 22nd 08 at 220lbs in Spain, now 135lbs and a size 4!! Happy as a Clam!!
