Stock piling Vitamins, Where do you get yours?
Multi, calcium citrate, B-complex from Costco. B-1, B-12 zinc and probiotic from a grocery/natural foods combo store that sells good brands. Folic acid from GNC. Everything else: iron, A, D, E, copper from Vitalady.
Oh, and at the moment I'm doing a little experiment with a different kind of calcium (a combo that has hydroxyapatite and a couple others I'd never heard of, but are supposed to be fantastic absorbing in low acid environment blah blah). I got that one in a BOGO from a health food store. Time for the next set of labs, so I'm interested in seeing how it all looks.

I'm doing the same thing with taking a variety of calcium types, like hydroxyapatite, and have decent labs, but horrible kidney stones (so I'm hoping more the help stones, than worried about bones - so far).
I've been watching this closely since I've seen some DSers going along with fine calcium levels and bone density, then bam - not OK anymore.
I'd really appreciate it if you posted any results you get when you have some labs about calcium. I'm trying to follow the DSers that are taking other forms of calcium in addition to their citrate.

Just FYI, The Osteo Tech is from BioTech and it is the MCHC. I've been using one of those to 3 of the calc citrate only (4 times per day) for a few years now). So, 12 calc cit, 4 OsteoTech. Since my lab levels are already steady, it's only the dexas that give me new info. I had slight improvement, but who knows what exactly did it.

P.S. My year + long absence has NOTHING to do with my WLS, or my type of WLS. See my profile.
I get ADEK only at VitaLady, but end up getting a few more things because in the end, it's just cheaper than paying shipping all over the place.
As for the chewables right after surgery. YUCK! I wish I had just bought my dry ones and cracked open the gel shells and dumped them into a protein shake, or puddin or jello..whatever. I still open caps and find I can drink them right up and never be bothered.
One thing, have a nice, dry, dark and cool place for your bottles once you get them for storage. I also keep the little packets of silica gel from assorted things to keep my dries, dry.

You won't necessarily need chewables. If you have trouble swallowing the Caclium you have several options: Citrical petities (but you have to take more of them), liquid calcium, UpCalD (a yummy powder Calcium.
