I am still Pre-op but want to start stock piling some of the Vitamins I know now that I will need.
I know that post-op and with Lab tests I will tweak what I need, how much of it and what strrengths, but for now I know I will need D3, A, K, Magnesium, Calcium, General daily plus the possibilty of MANY others...

I just want to go into this prepared.
I will need chewables for the first 4-6 weeks if I am not mistaken, after that can take pill form or liquid form.

Where do you folks get yours, best prices, best value, best customer service etc..

I know Vitalady is kind of the goto person in regards to vitmains, but I also know that places like Sams, Costco and other big name stores often have buy one get one free of their vitamins.

I have only been back in the US 2 months so I can't tell you where to actually go and get them. However, when I was in Kuwait, all my vitamins had to be shipped in. I got most of mine through www.drugstore.com.

Hey!
Good for you for being prepared.
Some things I stockpile from Vitalady:  D, A, E, Calcium, Champion Whey Stack Chocolate Protein Powder.  Her prices on the Champion are just about the best I can find, and if I order more than $300 (total order, not just the protein), she pays the shipping.
And, you might not need to get the chewable forms of stuff.  I think that's something where everyone's experience is different (as with MANY things with this surgery).  You might want to try taking the vites, and see how it works.
Wishing you an uneventful and happy DS...

(Oh, and great customer service?  Vitalady is the BOMB!  Really terrific.)

I get all of my vites through Vitalady.  All of them.  I don't care what's on sale anywhere else.  Vitalady is always so giving of her time and experiences, that I will stay loyal to her for as long as she's in business.  Plus, going through her, I don't have to go to multiple places for my vites, because she's got everything I need right there, and in the correct dosages.  They even took my phone order on a Saturday, after hours!  Now THAT'S something you just don't find anywhere.

I don't get EVERYTHING from Michelle.  Seems silly to NOT get my Costco vitamins when I go to Costco, since I go to Costco anyway.  I get my probiotics wherever I'm standing when I feel like getting them.  I get my Biotin--little tiny dissolve under the tongue things--when I'm at Sprouts.

But I get my calcium--Bariatric Advantage chewables--and a BA multi and my DRY Vitamin D and DRY Vitamin A and DRY Vitamin E and DRY Vitamin K and so on from Vitalady because, if I did not, I'd be ordering from three or four different sources IF I COULD FIND THEM ELSEWHERE and paying shipping to multiple locations and so on.

Anyway, the Kirkland multis, in that HUGE container..they ARE a stockpile.  That thing lasts months.  I have no idea if Micheles's price is higher or lower on that becaue I've never checked, but I DO know that early out, I discovered that it was cheaper to buy the Vitamin D from her than from the people who make it.  Strange, huh?  And I do usually order $300 worth total order, not just Vitamin D) to get free shipping.

I order from various sources:

Vitalady for Dry D and A, copper
Vitacost for their Bone Booster Formula (this is calcium hydroxyapatite, and I think is instrumental into finally pushing my calcium up to where it needs to be) and my dry E
Lexor Health for sublingual A & D
Sam's Club for multi's, and super B complex

Hi,
There are some things that you probably really have to get from Vitalady.... your dry A and dry D are pretty much givens that you should go through her.  Customer service there is great.  Top notch.  Plus her advice is invaluable.

I get my multi-vitamin (which I take 2 of) and my calcium from Costco.  Kirkland calcium is an awesome deal.  I think it's under 7 dollars for a huge bottle.  I've never had any issues with it.  I don't have a membership but I ask my mom or my aunt to get it for me... plus sometimes there are coupons.

Stuff like vitamin C, zinc, and selenium are easy to find on sale so I always get them when I find a BOGO free sale at Walgreens, Kroger, etc.

It is sometimes harder to find a higher dose of biotin that is not time released so I've had to shop around for it but it's not tough to find.  I want to say that I bought it at Puritan's Pride website.   They have deals like buy 2, get 3 free plus I always do a google search for any online site for promo codes or coupon codes.  That helps save in shipping at least most times.

I am particular about the kind of B12 that I take (brand, type, dosage) so I get it through drugstore.com because they run deals and offer cash back on future purchases.

Vitamin E should be easy enough to find in dry form at a place like the Vitamin Shoppe but I just get mine from Vitalady.

Don't waste your money getting a GNC Gold Card ... their prices are a rip off and the workers don't know jack there.  It's not worth it to step foot in there.

Oh and I get my Primal Defense Ultra online ... I'd need to search where I get it from but you can find much better deals ... I want to say through Amazon if you get it on sort of an auto-delivery plan.

A bit of advice, Vitalady sells protein samples.  It's worthwhile to get some there but be forewarned that just because you may like something as a pre-op, you may not like it as a post-op.  Tastes change significantly.  But I'd rather spend a few bucks trying a protein sample than buying a $40 tub that I'll never use.

I am not a great pill swallower but I never did chewables.  I began taking my vites at 3 weeks out.  Watch out for any chewables that have sugar alcohols.  You might really hate the taste of chewables but good luck if you go that route.
