Hi Amy,
I am a band to DS revision and am only 3 weeks out. I cannot eat very much at all at this point, but what I can tell you is that absolutely nothing has gotten "stuck" and it has been wonderful. Right up to surgery, I was constantly in the bathroom throwing up to get food "unstuck".
Good luck to you. You will be so relieved to get rid of that crap band!

Early out I called it 'Thanksgiving' full. One bite too many and it hurt. But now that I'm healed and learning the signs of pending fullness, I can leave my plate feeling full and satisfied but not painful. The other day I was offered dessert right after dinner and I ate it. I was in a moderate amount of fullness pain for about 20 min. It was a stupid thing for me to do. It felt like I had been to a buffet... y'all know what I'm talking about!!
But the rest of the time, finding fullness is easy. Eating slowly helps me. I have always been a fast eater so this has been an adjustment. When you feel satisfied STOP! do not pass Go, do not collect $200. You will become more regretful with every bite past the stop signs.
What I like about my DS sleeve (sleeve sizes vary) is that I still have the ability to get satisfaction from the act of eating. I'm not talking about addiction, just the feeling of normalcy. The 'party' doesn't end after a couple bites. I can eat a small meal. When I sit down at the table with family or go out with friends I don't stand out as the woman that has to order from the kids menu. I order steak, ribs, seafood like an ADULT. Yes, there are always leftovers but a normal person should have leftovers from the large portions restaurants serve these days.
I know this is way more info than you wanted :) My fingers are feeling chatty this morning.

I also get a runny nose and hiccups. I am still learning when my body is full and when to stop. Sometimes I will take one bite too many and feel awful and either have to vomit (this thankfully has settled down) or it feels like an elephant on my chest. Its a learning game for me and usually now I am able to judge portion size a bit better so I dont feel stuffed full.
