I wanted to get some feedback on  Coral Calcium by Natures Bounty 1000 mg per serving plus Vitamin D3 and Magnesium....Also on the Citracal minis. Any feedback or help would be appreciated...Having a hard time swallowing the big horse pill calcium that I'm currently taking....How many mgs should we be taking daily?

Thanks so much,
Mary

Coral Calcium is useless and not absorbed by us. The citrical minis are good, many here take them.

I personally like taking my calcium in a capsule (gelatin case filled with powdered calcium) - I find them very easy to swallow. I get mine from Vitalady.
Duodenal Switch hybrid due to complications.

I use the Bariatric Advantage chewable calcium "lozenges."  No swallowing issues when you can chew.

I'm afraid that coral calcium is calcium carbonate. Not the best source of calcium for us. Need to use calcium citrate. Citracal minis would be fine.

It is my understanding that we should be taking at least 1500 to 2000 mg of elemental calcium a day.
