Whole Foods
HI Guys, so tomorrow night I am going to make the trek up to Whole Foods which is about 45 minutes away. I am going to get some Julian bread ( I heard a wicked rumor that they stock this), some ground Flax stuff to put in protei shakes to help with moving things along, some garlic stuffed olives (cos they are my weaknes) and a big old chunk of authentic Irish cheddar, you know the kind that makes the roof of your mouth tingla cos its so strong!!lol
Plus some more low sugar, high fibre granola type stuff with flax and nuts etc in it.
i will also be getting some of their BBQ beef brisket from the smokehouse section and will probably have eaten it before I get home lol
What would you buy or check out while you were there?? suggestions??

Had a band in 2005 at 280lbs, had band removed and DS done on Jan 22nd 08 at 220lbs in Spain, now 135lbs and a size 4!! Happy as a Clam!!Dontcha love the DS? It's the best tool around!!
I sure do wish I had a Whole Foods market near me. Or a Trader Joes. I tell ya, I do NOT live in the land of the healthy.
I think it's Whole Foods that carries a store brand called "365" and they have good prices on those items. I'd check their almond meal or almond flour prices in the bulk section. Under $4 a lb is a good deal. I've heard that coconut flour is good for low carb baking as well. Marcona (I think that's what they are called - they are spanish) almonds are very good and they have a nice selection of tapas-type foods and cheeses and such. Hmmm....if I think of any more items I'd like you to buy so that I may live vicariously through you, I'll let you know!

I have never shopped at Whole Foods (we are about to get one, though) but a couple of things come to mind: nuts (keep them in an air tight container in the freezer) and other goodies to make a healthy, low sugar trail mix. I have heard that they have impressive bulk bins. Wonder if they have any healthier (preservative free, grass fed, etc) beef jerkey?

I live at my local Whole Foods! It's only about a 5 min drive away ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/dancing.gif)
I have pretty serious sensitivity to gluten/flour, but have noticed that I can eat their flour products in moderation w/no ill recourse (i.e. their croissants, pizza in the deli and prepared foods section).
They have great salmon burger patties, too! Enjoy :-)

They have several brands of Greek yogurt that are yummy.... Fage (2nd favorite), Chobani, The Greek Gods, and Oikos...
However, my FAVORITE is not technically Greek (made in Colorado), but it's soooooooooooo good! Noosa is the brand. I've had every flavor: raspberry, mango, blueberry, and honey. And even though it says 2 servings per container, I've never been able to save half for later.
Have fun shopping!
